What Are Your Apps?

Did You Win?
By Mike Monahan, CEO and executive director of Life Success Seminars Inc.
Did you buy a ticket for last week's Mega Millions lottery? Well, the results are in. And it got me thinking about the concept of winning.
In one year, do you think you will feel like a winner? If you feel like a winner, is it at another's expense? Or does it benefit the greater good?
One of the apps we talk about in Life Success's Basic seminar is win/win. As a concept, it's pretty easy to grasp. But when you look at your daily actions, win/win is much more difficult to implement.
Win/win takes a lot of trust that both sides will step up and do the right thing. The real challenge is when the other team doesn't do the right thing. But is that a good reason to quit?

Seasons
By Mike Monahan, CEO and executive director of Life Success Seminars Inc.
Once again, we "get to" go through the change in seasons. Have you noticed how it takes awhile for your body to adapt to the change? And that the older you get, the harder it becomes?
Life is like the season change. Our lives are always changing, and it often takes awhile to adjust. As we get older, we tend to get set in our ways. Getting set in your ways can leave you out in the cold when life changes.
Don't miss any of the seasons of a great life!

When in Doubt, Mumble
By Mike Monahan, CEO and executive director of Life Success Seminars Inc.
"When in doubt, mumble!"
I got that message in a fortune cookie years ago, and it's hanging on the bulletin board above my desk. For me, it's a reminder to shut up when I don't know what I'm talking about.
When I don't know what I'm talking about but have a clear voice, I leave a record of my ignorance.
At least when I mumble, I leave no trace of my ignorance. My enemy has to be creative and make up something about me!
My advice to you: "Mmbbll. Llbbmm." Did you get that?

Signals
By Mike Monahan, CEO and executive director of Life Success Seminars
I don't know who came up with the idea of traffic signals, but I'm glad they did. Just imagine how hectic and dangerous life would be without them. Three little lights direct our actions to keep us safe while driving.
We know to obey the signals while driving, so why do we often ignore the signals in daily life? You know the ones I'm talking about! That gut reaction you have when you feel like someone is about to take advantage of the situation. Your feeling about the kid down the street who you know is a bad influence on your child.
How would your life work differently if you started consistently following your gut signals? I bet it would make life a better, safer ride!
